Cut and merge video clips by timestamp
Cut the parts you want out of one or more videos and join them into a single MP4. Type the timestamps, paste a whole list, or mark them on the player, then drag the clips into order.

How to cut parts of a long video and merge them
- Drop one or more videos. Long recordings like streams, lectures or podcasts are fine.
- Add clips: press Set start and Set end while it plays (or the
IandOkeys), type times such as12:05and13:40, or paste a list. - Drag the clips into the order you want. Clips can come from different videos.
- Choose exact or fast mode, click Merge and download your MP4.

Frequently asked questions
Can I cut several parts of a long video at once?
Yes. Add as many clips as you like by timestamp, from one long video or from several, and they are merged in the order you set.
How do I change the order of the clips?
Drag a clip by its handle, or use the up and down arrows. With a keyboard, focus the handle, press Space, move it with the arrow keys and press Space again.
Is there a file size or length limit?
We don't set one. Everything is processed on your device and written straight to disk, so very long videos are limited only by your device's storage and speed.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. Cutting and merging happen in your browser, and your videos never leave your device.
Can I clip a YouTube video?
This tool works with video files you have on your device. For your own uploads, the Download option in YouTube Studio gives you an MP4 (up to 720p), though your original file will look better. Downloading other people's videos isn't allowed by YouTube's terms. For short samples in Shorts, use YouTube's own Remix feature.
Why did fast mode move my cut a little?
Fast mode copies the original compressed video, which can only start a clip on a keyframe, a full picture stored every second or two. Use exact mode for frame-accurate cuts.
